I haven't personally owned a CYMA before but I've had friends that did own them. My friends CYMA Ak was an older model akm in TM style takedown with a lot more pot metal that the CM040d has. The CM040d is the new version with Steel upper and lower receivers. It (probably) has pot metal parts too (as far as I know, I could be wrong, but I magnet tested it) including barrel, front and rear sit posts and gas blocks. There's other little parts that are Steel or Non steel, but I'm not going that far to tell you guys. Shooting wise mine was not laser beams, but pretty dang amazing for a completely stock gun. I chronoed and had 412 or 413fps EVERYTIME, I swear to Bob. I was very impressed. Even though I am fully capable of opening up my Ak, as I've repaired plenty of my other guns, I feel completely comfortable trusting it for the long run. Like I said before, this is a newer version than my friends. The TM style is the older and the VFC style(more realistic and easier takedown) is what the new CYMA AKs (like this one) are made to be. I am loving the VFC style btw. The upgrades besides the new takedown styling, are a metal spring guide and m120 spring for higher fps. I haven't fielded this yet, but like I said mine shoots pretty great for stock. And I have to keep it stock for a while because I'm poor. It feels super solid too."
