"I ordered this rifle from here (Airsoft MegaStore)...Upon releasing the package I opened up the box & was a bit impressed with the looks of the rifle. It is all metal except for the crane stock & pistol grip. The crane stock is your basic stock & it houses the battery. The stock is adjustable even with the battery installed. A battery & charger came with the rifle...However it's not the best 9.6V battery so don't expect any kind of great performance out of it. The charger was a standard wall charger & I recommend you get a smart charger & a better 9.6V battery. The upper & lower receivers is all metal with no trademarks. There are the Safe, Semi & Auto markings and a serial number but that's it. The pistol grip is your standard M4/M16 type, nothing fancy. The front rail system is metal & comes with two plastic rail covers. It is a very nice rail system, feels rock solid with no wobble or looseness in it at all. This rifle also comes with a very nice metal bi-pod that attaches to the rail system, as well as a plastic vertical fore grip. Unfortunately the vertical grip was cheaply made & broke very easily. The front & rear sights are metal adjustable flip-up type. I wasn't a BIG fan of the sights but they'll do the job. Plus I installed a red dot scope, as well as a set of angled sights for quick target acquisition. The front barrel is metal & has two sections. There is a small plastic orange tip on the front section. But it is easily removed...The front section of the barrel has a standard type SPR flasher hider with outer threads for attaching a SPR type suppressor The front section can be removed by drilling out the set pin on the bottom & turning the barrel counterclockwise. This will reveal 14mm counterclockwise threads on the second section of the barrel. You can attach a standard suppressor or different type flash hider. I removed my front section & attached a flasher hider for a quick detachable suppressor. By removing the front section of the barrel it also shortened the length, making it easier to use for CQB. There are sling points on the rear of the rifle & an included front sling mount that you can add onto the front, if you like. There is also an included black adjustable nylon sling that looks quite durable & could handle the weight of the rifle. The rifle also comes with a 300 rd. hi-cap metal magazine. It's nothing impressive and it's like most standard hi-cap mags with a winding wheel on the bottom. I did find that the mag is a bit loose when installed in the rifle & wobbles quite a bit. I tried different mags that I have (Lancer Tactical, Classic Army, Lonex, Matrix) & they all were loose, as well. Of course there's your standard fix for wobbly mags, so it was no BIG deal. Overall the build & construction of the rifle is very good. It feels good & has good weight to it. Definitely feels like it could handle being dropped, knocked around, banged against and put through rough play.
Performance-wise the rifle is decent but not the best...Definitely needs some improvements but not right at first or out of the box. You can field this rifle with no upgrades and you would do just fine. However I recommend changing out the hop-up unit for a better one. The stock hop-up is plastic & is absolutely horrible. I installed a MadBull Ultimate 3 in 1 Hop-Up Unit with their blue hop-up bucking & what a world of difference it made. I also plan to install a tightbore inner barrel to increase my range. Even though it's claimed to be shooting 400 FPS with .20g BB's. I only managed to shoot between 375 & 380 FPS with .20g BB's. Which still isn't too bad...And I'm sure a tightbore inner barrel will help increase the velocity once installed. Like I said there's definitely room for improvement but out of the box the rifle is still very decent and ready for the field.
My four star rating is mostly for looks and overall build quality. Performance-wise I would give it three stars...But that's only because of the stock hop-up unit...For Pros & Cons, please see below:
Nice, solid rail system
Includes bi-pod, rail covers, vertical fore grip, front sling mount, sling, hi-cap magazine, battery & charger
Metal Version 2 gearbox (Easy to upgrade)
Overall looks & feel
Stock plastic hop-unit
Included vertical fore grip is cheaply made & broke easily
Included hi-cap magazine is loose & wobbles when installed in rifle. (Other mags seem to be fit loose & wobble, as well)
Sights are not the best (But that's a personal preference)
Velocity was lower than claimed"
