"This gun is simply amazing.ill try to be as through as possible in this review, and list all i can about this fine fine weapon...
For starters this isnt my first in the redstar line, i also own the ak74u but cannot seem to find it on the site..anyhow the quality and craftmanship on both of my redstars is amazing, real steel solid builds etc, and of course real wood, this RPK is a monster, the range is well over the 190+ foot mark. you can drive nails with it, hop up is very good, and with .25s it chronoed at 380 +/- FPS so its quite the monster. i used it in several battles this last weekend and it surpassed my expectations, of course its on the long side so dont plan on being very mobile unless you train hard, ill get onto the pros and cons now to sum her up
PROS:
1.range is very good
2.very very accurate, like i said, drive nails with it.
3.solid build with no wobbles or creaks
4.bipod is handier than youd think
5.the bolt, bolt carrier and gas system are incredibly accurate, just like dissasembling a real ak
6.battery lasts a good long while amd is a 9.6v 1100 mah factory,
7.the mags are huge i mean 800 rnds, get 2 mags and spray away
8.will accept all ak mags ive tried so far, so youll always have access to spares in long skirmishes
9.flash hider isnt super obvious/tacky looking, and is also steel
10. 14mm ccw threads so you can supress it, allthough why youd want to make this thing longer id have no clue
11.side rail mount, very optics friendly
12. one of the most visually appealing weapons ive ever seen, at my field players just flock to my truck to look at/hande it, its very impressive, the trades are amazing
CONS;
1. rear sight spring is very weak, rear sight has popped of once or twice, not a big deal though adjusters work just fine
2.the upper handguard at the front of the gun is a little loose, but again you never really notice it
3.gun is mostly balanced BUT in longer battles you can really feel the weight at the front of the gun, takes a few battles before you dont notice it
4.battery compartment really restricts your choices, but the good news is the echo1 batterys last a long time and are 9.6v factory, so again small gripe
in conclusion you can see that the few cons there are are very small faint things, id reccomend this gun to anyone that wants a amazing rpk/lmg, its a good choice over a m60 or m249 as it weighs half as much, and i belive it to be far more accurate and easier to move with, and this gun is fully fieldable right outa the box, so do yourself a favor and buy one, you wont regret it!!!"
