"i just started using .2's with this gun and magicly the clip stopped feeding the bb's into the gun i have had this gun since christmas 2010 and it is awesome. right now i have it and a M14 but right now the famas clip doesnt work so should i use .12's (BTW they are perfectly safe to use in the gun cuz i have only been shooting .12's until about two weeks ago) This gun is a 9.2 out of 10 because the way you unlock it you have to push the safety all the way forward and if you dont get the housing on just right the safety stays in the fire position but there is also a electonic safety behind the clip which sets it to Semi, Auto, and OFF overall this gun is awesome except for the clips which if you wind to much the gears inside lock up and u have to push really hard on the wind up to fix it."

It has super good stock FPS (shot thru a blanket from 9 feet away) fairly good ROF ( with a 9.6) and the bipod looks awesome, although ive used it like once in a actual game. The battery compartment is actually quite large JUST TAKE OUT THE FLIPPING PAD IN IT!!! The mag jams if wound to tight. the iron sights suck, but i put a ris rail on top and a 30mm red dot sight. btw i bought this for $100 on black friday at Sports Authority. Pros. Good fps/ROF (with a 9.6) Cool bipod. Unique design. hop up is somewhat easy to get to, just unhook the cheek rest and slid it back. "I would use a 9.6v 1600mah makes it a lot better and also it does have a single fire setting but its not good for the gun my trigger started acting funny so i switched to full auto burst and it works fine(just dont use single fire often) over all good gun but you might want to consider another high cap mag if you can find one lol."

"may i say first, i did not purchase this from AM. i got it from big 5. i am so satisfied! out of the box, it shot nearly 425 FPS! and, as the person below me says, it does drop, but not by much. it has a great range, and has a long barrel for sniping, making it very accurate; but there are flaws. for one, there are no scope mounts, and the only one available is the TM one, which was discontinued. you would be very lucky to get ahold of one. and, the 3" of rail underneath is very delicate, i put a bipod/ foregrip on there, and it broke off in combat. and, the battery is insanely hard to install the first few times. after about 5 times, it's easier. also, the front sights are pretty delicate. speaking of sights, there are much ways to adjust them, so that's always great. and before all them Call of Duty nerds ask, it does NOT have 3 round burst. the FA-MAS F1 does not have 3 round burst. anyway, GREAT weapon, i would recommend it to anyone."

"This is the FAMAS F1, used by the french army, it dows shoot 385fps with .20g bbs, and 350 fps with .25g bb, .25g bbs u lose about 50 feet of range, but your accuracy is flawlwss. I prefer .20g bbs becasue of their velocity and range, but thts me. this gun is made of ABS plastic(not a con) becasue the real gun is fiberglass, so its realistic. The range on my FAMAS is 220 feet and therefore have outfitted it with an ACOG 2X scope. Also the bipod is awesome, but be careful with it or you may break it with prolonged use (i did) but its easily repariable to an extent. This gun is unique, not another m4 or AK, thts why i like it and have come to respect it in the 6 months of combat its seen with me."

"This a really good buy for the price, it is worth it. This aeg is an accurate representation of the real Famas F1. The only downside to this gun is the lack of external and some internal upgrades. The real Famas F1 is made of fiberglass, this aeg is ABS plastic which almost replicates the real weight and feel. The peice of metal on the barrel is a counter-weight that is featured on the real Famas. The trigger gaurd and mag are the only cons about ths gun (to me), those are features that were changed on the F2 version of the Famas. Pros great FPS and range good ROF (recommend the 9.6V mini battery) realistic weight and feel two guns in one package (because of Bullpup design) i recommend at least one or two extra mags (IT DOES NOT TAKE M4/M16 MAGS only famas mags) Cons Front sights are a little troublesome external and some internal upgrades are hard to get or find (there is a rail kit for TM that i think will fit this, look for it on evike.com) IT HAS NO TOP RAIL "

"First of all, yes I am a COD fanboy so when i was considering my next gun i knew i wanted a famas. i wanted something unique from all the M4s and AKs. this gun definitely fit the bill. this gun also does everything it is advertised to do. i haven't put my optics on it yet but it still is easy to use as a sniper weapon and if the opposition gets too close then you can just mow them down on full-auto. when you look on the box it says it shoots at 465 fps and i do believe it does. this thing hurts! the ROF is intense. most of my friends have lipo guns but mine is just a standard battery and it keeps up just fine. this gun is definitely worth every penny and i give it my full recomendation."

"This gun came two days ago. It's pretty accurate and shoots fast. The box says 445 fps. The metal parts are the barrel, bipod, magazine, bottom rail, charging handle (thing inside carrying rail), and internals (including gearbox). "this is a perfect starter A.E.G for those who are trying to get into airsoft its ROF (rate of fire) (650 per min) is a bit low but makes up for it in power and accuracy ive had this gun for almost a year and it still performs like the day i got it but like any gun it has its cons the battery compartment is a bit small and takes a few tries to get the battery in right and has a very slight tendancey to jam on single fire but can be fixed when switched to full auto the bi pod can come lose but can be fixed with a small socket wrench and there is only one sling mount on this so i would recommended a bungee sling for this rifle other than that is is one of the best / cheapest aegs on the market pros- good weight good accuracy battery life good price durable plastic metal gearbox and barrel cons- bi pod can come loose but easy to fix low rate of fire only 1 sling hook has a slight tendancy to jam on single fire "

"i got this gun about a month ago and i've taken it to two games, and decimated with it both times. first thing i have to say about it... when it says 445 fps on the title, they probably mean with .12s (who even uses those? :P). with .2s, its consistently about 385. RIDICULOUSLY ACCURATE!!! i hit a guy about 130ft no problem. the range is comparable to my friends mk 96 sniper. you cant get a much better gun for 170. all in all, infinitely better than some of the other versions out there... (Tokyo Mariu for example, which happens to have a lower fps and accuracy, for twice the price... i mean, what the heck is that?)"

"This is a fairly nice gun. Its rate of fire isnt bad, its fps is great (with .2 approx 380-400 fps), nice accuracy, decent build quality, but sometimes unreliable especially on semi auto. It will some times jam up or skip, but overall not too bad. I do recommend that you clean both the magazine and the barrel before using it. This gun is not only for beginners, but i would also recommend it to anyone who wants a bull pup or a dmr. A top rail mount is available, but not from this site. Also magazines for this gun are either hard to find, or expensive, but you can modify m4 clips to fit in here for a much lower cost."

"If you haven't read my previous review I suggest you read it. It lays out the good and bad for this gun. Unfortunately, my gun has run into some issues. The outer barrel partially covers the inner barrel. Usually, this is close to impossible because the outer barrel is usually wider than the inner barrel all the way through. That is not the case with this gun. Towards the front, just behind the flash hider, the barrel is thinner that the outer diameter of the inner barrel. The little obstruction that this causes is enough to send my BBs all over the place. I can't hit a dang thing as it stands right now. Additionally, AMS offers little to no support for this gun. I am in the process of buying a barrel adapter from a separate website because AMS doesn't offer the part I need. I still love the gun and I believe it has great potential which is why I only mark it down 1 star. I just got extremely unlucky and I would hate for this to happen to anyone else."

( there is no definable upper or lower receiver.) the barrel is metal, there are a few items on there that seem to serve no purpose. "Im a beginner in airsoft, and i got this gun 3 weeks ago and i used it about 20 times and when i used it about 4th time the trigger was jammed for about 5 seconds then it got back and i had it on semi then somehow once it shot it shot full auto without pushing the trigger for about 1 second. This only happened once and it never happened again and i used it in airsoft field and it was great. They also have a secret compartment on the bottom handle of the gun which is cool! This is a good beginner gun and it was my first gun and i love it. But those problems really didnt bother me."

CONS: mysticly broke... idk how replacment famas... didnt work... and also, the battery is a pain in the butt to get in... you have to slide the grip forward, wedge it in there, then get it back in, and if your not strong enough, then it wont let you put it back from the open/off safe/safe switch, it will stay on open if you dont push back hard enough, make sure you dont need to charge inbetween rounds..."

"I got this gun about a year ago and it is still doing what is expected from it. Its accuracy is pretty good but not as expected, but its still good. The fps is great for CQB, and the gun its self is great for CQB due to the bull pup feature of this gun, on the field its not the best though. The build is plastic but it is pretty sturdy. My bi-pod broke on me but that could be my own fault though. The iron sights suck, just letting you know now and Id suggest you get the rail attachment for this gun and invest in spare mags...
