Our take:  It's finally here!  The all-new, fully licensed, full metal gearbox THOMPSON CHICAGO TYPEWRITER "Tommy Gun" automatic airsoft AEG rifle comes with an enhanced full metal gearbox, full trademarks on the receiver, and a full metal 450-rd high capacity DRUM magazine, making it one of the best values in airsoft today.  As airsoft enthusiasts ourselves who LOVED the Tokyo Marui M1A1 when it first came out, even WE were surprised to see just how powerful and nicely made this Cybergun Thompson M1A1 AEG really was.  From the finish to the FULLY LICENSED laser-engraved trademarks (both Thompson and US ARMY trademarks) to the 467 FPS+ of power (as advertised on box with 0.12g BBs), we are thoroughly impressed with this rifle, and you will be too.

    FPS Note:
Shoots at 370-410 FPS with 0.20g seamless BBs.  Airsoft Megastore STRONGLY recommends using ONLY 0.20g and heavier BBs in this AEG rifle (do not use 0.12g BBs).

New Cybergun Thompson M1A1 AEG Features:
    - Unique serial number
    - Replica cooling rings, just like the authentic Chicago Typewriter "TOMMY GUN"
    - Full metal gearbox with reinforced steel gears and metal bushings
    - Laser engraved THOMPSON and PROPERTY OF US ARMY trademarks; fully licensed for ultimate realism
    - This AEG is 100% compatible with Tokyo Marui parts
    - Premium simulated wood grain finish, intertwined with metal body means this replica is realistic down to the T
    - Adjustable hop-up (TM-compatible hop-up unit) and selectable fully automatic/semi automatic firing modes, along with a functional safety mode
    - OEM manufactured by CYMA
    - 467 FPS using 0.12g BBs; 370-410 FPS using 0.20g BBs.  This firing power ensures that you will DOMINATE any airsoft game.  Accuracy and power better than that of TM M1A1 Thompson during comparison testing
    - Premium 8.4V mini type battery and wall charger included
    - 2-way adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation
    - BOTTOM LINE:  If you want a gun with the same HIGH-END equipment as the Tokyo Marui M1A1, but with EVEN MORE power and accuracy AT LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE, this is your BEST BET, GUARANTEED.

    Features:
    - Shoots at over 370 FPS with 0.20g BBs, and 467 FPS with 0.12g BBs, thanks to its new full metal gearbox
    - Shoots about 14 RPS (rounds per second); can dish out over 750-850 BBs per minute on full auto firing mode
    - Made by CYBERGUN
    - Measures 34 inches long
    - Full metal gearbox and internals
    - Fully adjustable hop up system (Marui-compatible hop-up unit)
    - Adjustable AIRSOFT full/semi automatic shooting capabilities
    - Weighs in at 8.59 pounds or 3900 grams (extremely realistic)

    Specifications:
    Operation:  Electric Automatic
    Firing Modes:  Semi-automatic and Full-automatic
Muzzle Velocity:  370-410 FPS with 0.20g BBs
Magazine:  450-rd high capacity DRUM magazine
    Gearbox:  Full metal
    Barrel:  Full metal
    Hop-up:  Adjustable
    Weight:  8.59 pounds

Ammo type:  Seamless 0.20g or heavier (0.23g, 0.25g, 0.26g, 0.28g, etc) BBs.  For maximum performance and accuracy, Airsoft Megastore recommends GoldenBall ProSlick BBs which carry perfect spherical consistency and density, available at Airsoft Megastore for the lowest price on the market, guaranteed.

Package includes:  Rifle, rechargeable battery, wall charger, instruction manual, 450-round high capacity DRUM magazine

Battery Charger Recommendation:  Although this fully automatic airsoft rifle comes with a standard wall charger to charge the battery, Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery(overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly).  Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly, also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.

    CYMA/Cybergun Thompson M1928
    07/11/12
    By: Anonymous Person

"This gun is by far one of the best AEG's that you can get at this price. Having personally owned the CYMA/Cybergun Thompson M1928 for nearly two years and having played with it extensively, I can say that without a doubt this gun is one of the best you can get for the price. I will list the pros and cons of this great airsoft AEG: PROS: Durable: I have accidentally dropped this gun on rocks multiple times in the past and it has been perfectly fine minus a few scratches. Great range: The range on this gun is very good. I play in more mountainous terrain and I have no problem hitting my targets. (Mostly) Historically Accurate: Aside from the location of the charging handle and the simulated wood as compared to real wood, this gun is historically accurate including even the correct patents and trademarks. Realistic Weight: This gun weighs very close to the real thing, beings I have held both. Good Power: I have chronographed this gun (with .20 gram bbs) at 370fps. LOTS of battery space: As the battery is located in the stock, you can fit almost any battery you want. I would recommend buying a 9.6 volt battery and a Smart Charger. CONS: Fake wood: The "wood" is really a plastic, along with the lower receiver. The plastic wood does lower the price; if it was real wood the price would be more than $200. An extra note: it did take me quite some time to figure out that the lower receiver was not metal. Size and Weight: This may be considered a pro to some, but if you are a small person, this gun may not be suited for you. The large stock can also get in the way when you are trying to peek out of cover. It is really comfortable, though. Accuracy: Although the gun has good range and power, the accuracy leaves more to be desired. The shots spread out like a giant shotgun at range, though I have found this to be VERY effective at suppressing whatever your target is. Drum Magazine: Buy a stick magazine. They are more durable, FAR less prone to accidental breakage, and are much easier to carry with you. All in all, this is a great gun for the price. It can stand on its own against much more expensive AEGs made by G&G, Echo 1, KWA and similar brands and at a much cheaper price. If you are looking for a great Thompson M1928 replica, look no further, you have found it!"

"This gun is great. I highly recommend that you buy this product. It is very solid and is a hefty,a good feeling when you hold it. The metal gearbox is awesome and sounds great and works amazing!!!! As someone said earlier, that the front grip is loose, and that was true. But, a quick turn with a screwdriver fixes that problem, don,t send it back. The fps is awesome and it certainly fires 14 bbs per second. It is a very good price for a gun like this. The only con is that you have to wind the drum magazine, which is a pain. It is truly flawless and the mag realease works great. Airsift megastore is a very good place to purchase this gun, they are very realiable. Over all, a very solid gun. "

    THIS GUN IS BEAST!!!!!

"I've had the gun for about a month now and i must say it is amazing. Shoots very hard. Completly demolished a can from 50 ft and 100 ft away. The wood is abs plastic but looks and feels very real. The drum mag and the rest of the gun are full metal making it very heavy(about 8.5lbs). Drum mag holds 450 rds and comes with an 8.4 volt battery. Pros: Realistic weight and feel 370 fps and accurate Al Capone Style Full Metal (Excluding abs plastic wood) Gun is very detaled with corect serial #s on the side Drum Mag! The charging handle is fun to mess with (does nothing whatsoever) Cons: Charging Handle on the side instead of on top of the gun where the real 1 was (Personal Pet Peev of mine) Barrel and foregrip is a little wobbly Takes time to get used to mag release and selecter switch Overall this is a great gun and I highly recomend this gun to Tommy Gun fanatics like myself and to all airsoft players who want a realible, awesome, and powerful gun. "Change the mag and get s stick mag. You will see why. I have a custom rail mount on mine and i added a 40x3-9x scope and i use .25g bbs, when i adjusted my scope i am able to hit a can from 90 feet every time with this gun, no misses! If you get this gun, get a scope and make a custom rail mount. Pros... Great range Super rate of fire Comes with tight bore barrel Around 380-390fps, close to 400. smooth gearbox Accurate Cons... Kind of heavy Mag breaks when over winding hop-up is way too hard(maybe just mine came like that)? little kids canot use it because the stock is too big for their sholder size. Sights are not trusted Plastic bushings and plastic spring guide "

"This is by far the BEST airsoft gun that I have. I was shooting a can from 100ft+ away and it hit it every time. Pros:Amazing fps, nice ROF, Accuracy like a sniper, mostly full metal, looks sick, heavy(could be a con for some), the plastic parts are very strong. Cons: The pistol grip was a little wobbly(but I tightened it) Other than that 1 con this gun wrecks. Buy it NOW!!! "

"I wanted to be original on my team; not to say I hate modern military rifles; I wanted something old fashioned that still absolutely rocked the field. So I looked at the Thompson, bought it, picked it up, used it at the first game, and it was just AMAZING, hands down. She's a hard hitter, cruel when needed to be, but in the same time making beauty a wonderful thing to watch for. Although yes, the mag is sometimes a b**** to load, it lasts a good while and looks fantasic, classy, and just plain 1930s. I mean, who doesn't love that? The battery's fine if you use the foam to your advantage, and everything works just great. I've personally owned the gun for seven months, it's the most beautiful, classic, cruel, heartless thing I've ever held in my hands and used on the field as far as I know of."

"It is truly awesome. Made all my friends jealous. Great fps, feels very nice, the foregrip is a bit wobly at first, but its an easy fix. Plus winding up the drum is a pain, but you get used to it. Other than that I haven't had any problems with the gun. -One day we stuck a pole about 1/2 ft wide in the ground 150 ft away and we had a competition between the tommy gun and a sniper that shoots the same fps. We each got five shots, he only hit the pole twice and I hit it all 5 times... In other words, it is extremely accurate and worth the price. "

"There is nothing bad to say about this astounding gun...it shoots far even with the lightest BBs (even though they lack stopping power at a distance but thats not the guns fault) Just get .20 gram king arms BBs for welting results! I love this gun!!!"

"Hello. I have purchased this gun, and I am thouroughly happy to which the gun preforms. There are almost no down sides. The magazines wind up quickly and easily, but take time to fill and actually slide into place. But the hop up system is great, and I am happy to say the gun is almost realistic. The charge time for this weapon is five hours according to the battary info"

"This gun is incredible, I shot a huge apple with it, and turned it into applesauce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will shoot almost all the way threw a plastic bottle!!! AIRSOFT MEGASTORE HAS THE BEST DEALS, THE BEST GUNS ,AND THE BEST QUALITY!!!!! This tompson is very rugged, im not saying its water proof or you can drop it in the mud or anything, but if you get it muddy or wet it keeps going. And the batterys dont just get weeker and weeker, they keep the same strength until there is nothing left. But get some 9.6volt maH 1600 batteries."

"Well I got mine at big5 the other day because it was on sale for less then it is on here and I didn't need to wait 3 days to get it but I buy most of my airsoft guns from here Pros Very accurate 450 rd drum mag Okay fps Mostly metal Cons This replica is not realistic down to the T because the bolt/charging handle is in the wrong place and the selector switches are not what they should look like but not big problems Plastic rear sight Plastic bottem receiver But its altogether a really good gun even with it not being a 100% replica "

"This gun is great. The rpm is not the best, but the accuracy in this gun is amazing. The drum mag will brake if you wind it more than ten times. I recomend you buy a stick mag, though there pricey, there worth it holding 380 rounds wich is 70 less than the drum mag it comes with. Its much lighter than the kings arms model but still very durable about 7 pounds (with stick mag.)"
