"The WG M84 pistol, as the name suggests, is similar to the Berretta 84 "Cheetah" series of pistols. Below is a list of pros and cons, telling you why I would recommend this pistol.
Shoots over 450 FPS with .25 gram bbs for the first 50-60 shots.
-Good Usage of CO2
Although it is recommended to use a single CO2 cartridge for 60-75 shots, I was shooting a few days ago with a standard Crossman 12 gram cartridge and got 140 shots with some gas still left in the tank... not that I would recommend doing this, as it could possibly damage the gun, but it can be done.
The grips on this gun feel great in my hand. They have a nice palm swell at the bottom, a great beavertail on the top, and serrations on the front and back to help gripping even more. The texturing on the sides of the grips is excellent too.
I opted to get this gun in the "silver" version over the black version because of cosmetics. The black version has a more military look (which is great sometimes). However, I purchased this version because it had a classic look of stainless steel and wood grips. The point being, this gun looks great.
It can be difficult to find extra magazines when buying an airsoft gun, especially for pistols. This gun will accept Crossman C11 mags with some modification: When viewing a C11 magazine from the back, there will be two indentations on the right side. Using a file, shave ROUGHLY 1/8 of an inch (go less if you're unsure) off of the area above the topmost indentation until it is level with the indentation itself. Blow off all of the excess metal particles and the magazine should fit in your gun. I did this and now have three extra magazines that work flawlessly.
This gun is built rock solid. It is entirely metal accept for three parts- the orange tip at the end, the grips, and the part used to twist the puncture screw (device that allows CO2 to enter the gun). Obviously, this makes the gun very durable
The trigger on this gun is not bad, but it could present a problem for amateur shooters. The trigger weight on this gun is somewhere between 5-7 pounds (double action only). This is heavy for an airsoft gun, but honestly not heavy at all (Double actions on most real firearms are 10-13 pounds). I would not let this be the deciding factor on whether or not to purchase this gun. Also to note, after 50-100 rounds the trigger should be broken in, and will be much smoother and easier to pull.
The safety is in a very awkward position, is very awkward to operate, and is very stiff for the first few times you engage/disengage it. However, the safety breaks in after a bit and becomes easier to operate. Also to note, this gun is a double action only, and it is a common practice to carry double action guns without the safety engaged (if there even is a safety). Once again, some would question the safety of this, but many people carry in this fashion.
This gun is a great performer. However, it doesn't have the "fun factor" that other guns have. For example: a gas blowback has a fully functioning slide travel and short action system, realistic trigger and hammer functions, realistic takedown and reassembly- it is essentially an airsoft clone of its "real steel" counterpart. Some even have full auto modes, adding to the fun. This gun is a great gun, but just doesn't have that "fun factor" to it. But once again, don't let this break a deal for you. I'm a "major" gun enthusiast and I still love this handgun. Really, what it loses in realistic functions, it makes up for in realistic shooting: straight trajectory, high velocity, and "loud" muzzle report. Almost like shooting a .22
I would recommend this gun simply because of its great performance- this is a very high power gun, and with the right bb's (or the wrong ones, really), could even be used as an alternative to actual firearms when plinking (due to the rising prices of ammunition).
And as great as this pistol is, it is less than $50. I would say go ahead and buy the gun. In my opinion it's the best pistol Iv'e seen yet, and undoubtedly the cheapest. The very few flaws that exist are minor flaws, hardly worth mentioning. This gun will give the best value for any air pistol you can buy."
