"Overall this is a fantastic gun. It has a few minor issues that are easily fixed, and nothing that should really deture you. If you want an AUG, this a good route to go. Start with pro-con (very picky pro-con) then a full review.
-Great Performance and durability (12,000+ rds, 8.4 v battery)
-Good weight and very balanced
-Lots of rail space
-nice looking gun
-mags feed perfectly, no miss-feeds so far
-dual stage trigger is great
-hop up is fairly consistent, engages bbs very well
-TINY battery space
-nut holding in mag release came out!
-not as accurate as JG SIG 552, even with longer barrel
-magazines have possibility of being inserted in-properly
-flash hider impossible to remove (not literally, but very difficult)
-bolt lever thingy messed up
-iron sights.....well, just more faff for the recycling plant
OK! So my take on this gun- MAGNIFLORIOUS! As a JG this outperforms any other JG, CYMA, Dboys, etc on the field and lasts longer as well.
Over 3 bags of 4,000 round bbs and it is still going strong. The internals are rock (or rather metal) solid and have had no issues to speak of. To be fair, it is a JG, so quality control.....eeeeh, not the best, but their AUG from every review I have seen is among their best products. Its ROF is decent, nothing to call home about, but it will get you by. Its ROF fire out of box is unknown, but after about 5 magazines (or 1500 rounds) of shooting at home and showing off my sweet gun to my friends i finally got it to a field and bam, 39-some fps! Internals on this get an A+ for now, in future i am expecting to upgrade.
For a gun with such a long barrel....jeesh. It could use improvement. My first airsoft gun was a JG Sig 552, sold it to a friend and bought this. With a much shorter barrel of the same quality it was getting better results! The inner barrel is definitly something to look to replacing first. However, the hop up is above par for JG, and almost always contacts the bbs the same way, so you always get about the same distance.
Rear of the Gun:
Heavy, but not too heavy. Holds gearbox and battery. And this is the main problem with this gun. Space. Is. TIght. WIth the gearbox in the rear this thing barely fits an 8.4 small type brick. There are some mods to be done to change this but I have yet to do them. Maybe a 7.4 lipo could squeeze in, or a 9.6 if you are feeling lucky and feel like fiddling around in there for 10 minutes. But that is about it. Also the battery cover has trouble staying on if you dont really pound it in there. The magazine well is slightly loose and if you really shake it there is audible wobble. The magazine can also be put in crooked to the unwarry user, and the nut holding the screw holding the magazine realse and gun together fell out at some point! But if you tighten it all the way, magazine release doesnt move! TAPE OVER THIS NUT AND SCREW! However, the gun had no feeding problems, but you loose about 5 bbs in the feed tube every magazine.
Front of the Gun:
Comes of easily, and good weight. About the same as the back so this is a very, very balanced gun. The trigger is lovely in my opinion. Even after all this time it is a bit stiff, but with the whole dual trigger thing i dont mind it too much. The safety is a button you push to either side of the gun to make it safe or fire. Problem is...it doesnt stay in. It wont come out on it's own, but if you push it to far, it and the spring holding it in will run off somewhere. The charging handle also had a few minor problems. It has 2 sorta stages, the do nothing half and the do something half, and it feels...off. Not a big problem, but sometimes it gets stuck. Occasional lube fixes this. However, on mine, the bit that pushes the right side hop up door came unscrewed, easy fix there as well. The rails are nice and metal and solid and standard, but my foregrip had some trouble fitting. A little file work fixed this and it was morethan likely more a problem with the foregrip. (btw, throw out the iron sites, total rubbish)
Very easy to dissasemble. Look up videos if you want to know how.
Overall this is a fantastic gun. It has a few minor issues that are easily fixed, and nothing that should really deture you. If you want an AUG, this a good route to go. I run it with a red dot, bb shield for the red dot, a foregrip, tactical light, and a flashlight taped on i got from Lowes."
