Our take:  The ALL-NEW JG 2013 R36-HMC [Hybrid Modular Carbine] is a spectacle to behold in every single way.  In our opinion, it is quite possibly one of the most well-balanced, well-designed high performance airsoft AEG rifles on the planet, bar none.  The JG R36 HMC is FINALLY IN STOCK at last, and AIRSOFT MEGASTORE is the FIRST in the country to have this rifle available, and if we were to make an educated guess, we'd guess that these will go FAST.  Improved and enhanced from the older generation E1 MTC, the JG R36-HMC has an enhanced full metal gearbox with an upgraded spring, upgraded full metal/durable polycarbonate internals, along with a touted (and highly praised) ultra high-torque motor.  Just about everything on the newest V3 R36 from JG is better than you've ever seen before on airsoft AEGs in this price range.  With metallic reinforced internals, JG's revised full metal gearbox is equipped with better-machined internals, and an upgraded spring, making this R36 ready to rock and roll.

What's so different?  It pretty much boils down to two marvels of engineering prowess:

    1.  The tactical rear stock has been modified for all-around combat performance improvement:  a ClubFoot mod tactical rear crane stock, with 4-point retractable ability has been added for enhanced field versatility.

    2.  The body and magazine well have been modified to fit M4/M16 magazines.  That means you can take your favorite 300-round hi-cap or 130-round mid-cap, load up, and go!

It easily dominates the Classic Army or Tokyo Marui R36 rifles in terms of power, design, sophistication and accuracy.   It's an engineering marvel!  And with its lower price tag (half the price of the other guys), this AEG is a no-brainer.  It also comes with a tactical ClubFoot Mod 4-point retractable crane stock for tactical versatility, and the best part is:  IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH ALL [metal gearbox] M4/M16 MAGAZINES.

Awesome buy, one of the hottest airsoft rifles for 2013, guaranteed!

    Specifications:
    Operation:  Electric Automatic
    Firing Modes:  Semi-automatic and Full-automatic
    Muzzle Velocity: 360-415 FPS
Magazine: 300-round high capacity (gear wind-up)
    Gearbox:  Full metal
    Hop-up:  Adjustable
    Weight: 7 pounds

Ammo type:  Seamless 0.20g or heavier (0.23g, 0.25g, 0.26g, 0.28g, etc) BBs.  For maximum performance and accuracy, Airsoft Megastore recommends GoldenBall ProSlick BBs which carry perfect spherical consistency and density, available at Airsoft Megastore for the lowest price on the market, guaranteed.

Package includes:  Rifle, rechargeable battery, wall charger, instruction manual, 300-round high capacity magazine

Battery Charger Recommendation:  Although this fully automatic airsoft rifle comes with a standard wall charger to charge the battery, Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery (overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly).  Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly, also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.

    This gun is great
    07/02/13
    By: Dane

"This gun is great for it's accuracy and fps. The clips are good because they are M4 clips, which are used in a large verity of airsoft guns. Good for long distance and cqb (close quarters battles). The only problem is the stalk doesn't fold, which was fine because during a battle I fell and broke the stalk off, I like it better now. This was my first electric airsoft gun, and still works great. I don't like to lie so I won't tell you I had know problems, it did jam a couple time, but all airsoft guns do sometimes. I highly recommend this gun."

    Great

"This gun is awesome, it will do anything you want. I use it for field play with no problem. It can easily become a cqb gun. Only annoying thing is the mag release is on the left side and can be bumped by things."

    Very solid

"I got this on black Friday for $85 bucks and didn't expect a long range gun. The plastic or polymer or whatever the externals are is pretty tough stuff. I think it's what the real thing is made of. Only real complaint is when I hold the gun against my chest , sometimes my mag pouch hits the mag release."

    great gun!!

    By: Mike

"love this gun and this gun will screw stuff up in a game. i use it as my primary gun an it is great. i love it and has an amazing fps/dead on accuracy. love fully auto. in the 2 months iv used it, it only had 1 or 2 minor hiccups/little stops, but it didn't damage the gun at all. m4 mags are used in this gun so they are cheaper if ur planning on having a tactical mag/fast mag. golden ball BBS i highly suggest in this gun. Once again great gun and is worth every dime!"

    Pros and Cons
    25/06/12
    By: Robert Hruska

"this gun is great it was my first g36c! Pros: Takes M4 Mags! (there cheaper than G36C Mags) Very Accurate Full Metal Gearbox The rest of the external besides the rails is hard rubber (other people call it good plastic) Affordable 400 fps gun easy to put 8.6 volt battery in. Rate Of Fire is good Cons: when i got mine the mags wouldn't work for some reason so i just hit the mag against a wall lightly and it worked. Overall it is a very good gun it is a must have."

"this gun is a little heavy but u do get used to it. i took the scope from another gun and readjusted and it is a CQB and semi sniper now. bottom line if you want to win u need this gun with 300 round mags u can spray and pray or aim either way anyone on the other side of this gun will be hurting, i have also been target practicing and and this gun can shoot though a quarter of an inch of wood!!!!!"

"Yeah I really dont think that this gun was made the same way you supposedly installed your magwell. It is most likely that you just made a halfass job on it and now your whining that you can't install a magwell properly... as for this airsoft gun.. it looks amazing since my older m4a1 is starting to fall apart and I have 3 magazines for along other accessories.. This is my best bet for a gun and for anyone else for that matter."

    one question
    23/07/11
    By: Vernard Bain

"Ok im a g36 lover and all but i want to buy this rifle but im not sure, can anyone tell me if it is mandatory to use M4 mags or can you still use the standard G36 mags? One more thing whats the big deal with the 300 round M4 mags when you have 47 round mags for the G36?"

    Best Gun in the World
    30/05/11
    By: Josh Siler

"I have had this gun for over a year now it is still shooting at over 385 fps and great rate of fire. the only thing i have trouble with is since its a hybrid the mag wobbles a little in the gun and sometimes will fall out if not fully pushed in. the mag barrel stock rail and internals are all made of metal and everything else is made of super durable platic ive dropped it a thousand times and it hasnt left a mark. super easy too take apart and clean my cousins all got $250 plus aegs and they cant even hit me i always win get this gun its worth it i would choose this gun over a $300 plus aeg dont ask questions just get it"

    GREAT GUN!!!!
    21/01/11
    By: D. Mac

"I just put around 300 rounds through this bad boy. I enjoyed every minute of it. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this gun. Straight out of the box it shot pretty straight, but after a little tweak to the sights and a tweak on the hop-up and this is gun became deadly accurate!!! The range was good too, and the RoF was to my surprise pretty good for a stock gun. With this gun you are sure to rock any field you play one. Plus with a couple small upgrades this would be a BEASTLY MONTER of a GUN!!!!"

    Great gun/ some upgrading tips
    19/11/10
    By: Gerald Smith

"This gun is amazing buy, if you plan on getting this gun get a 9.6 battery for it. It has a high torque and a 130 spring as well as nylon fiber spring guide and cylinder. It needs a 9.6 to reach its potential. .23 bbs are also recommended for it shoots alot better with them, and at 400+ out of the box a loss of 20 fps is nothing compared to 15-20 bbs a second that hit their target at 150+ yards. Pros: Everything (Gearbox, 8mm ball bearings, 130 spring, nylon cylinder and spring guide, high torque motor, m4 magwell, club foot stock.) 400 fps stock (mine shot at 415 out of the box!!!!!!) Cons: needs a 9.6 to reach full potential unlike the last year echo 1 it doesnt come with rail replacement peices. Thats really it."

    excellent gun!!
    06/11/10
    By: Joe G.

"i love everything about this gun, the crane stock is helpful (more adaptable to the shooter) and the m4/m16 mags make it extremely valuable, especially when your squad/teammates use the same mags. the 300rd hicap mag that comes with the gun is a tad wobbly in the gun, but its not a big deal. i ordered some m4/m16 midcap mags and they fit great. nothing should keep you from getting this gun!! G36 with HMC
    01/08/10
    By: An Airsoft BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"this is my first AEG and i love it. it has a high fps and the adjustable stock makes it ideal in all scenarios. the only slight problem is that the mag is a little loose and if u dont shove it in hard enough it can fall out. it winds forward so it is a bit harder but an overall amazing buy!"

"definitely a cool gun. I bought it and am extremely excited to take it to the field. shoots fast and accurate. not sure on the range though, haven't gotten a chance to try it out. feels comfortable, looks cool. Although i am wanting to confirm that it uses standard G36 mags. Can anyone help me with this?"

    Great Starter
    14/04/14
    By: Brian

"The gun is built fairly strong and can take a beating; it is also very comfortable to hold. Everything about is amazing for the price, so I recommend it to anyone looking at a starting gun or even pros. Con: the only problem I have had is the 8.4v battery it comes with is too weak. Sometimes I couldn't make it more than 2 games with out it dying. Someone else recommended upgrading to a 9.6v, which I did, and it works much, much better."

    Good Gun
    23/06/12
    By: Christian

"I've owned this gun for about 4 months now and so far its held up pretty good. It's fairly accurate and has a good fps. My only complaint is that it tends to jam quite often. Almost every time I play to be exact. I'm guessing it's because of the mag conversion kit. If you have M4/M16 mags, get this. If not, I would go with the regular G36. "

"My First Review I Had Bought This Gun With The MInd Set Of "Im Going To Customize The Crap Out Of This Thing" If You Have/Had The Same Mindset GET IT The Reason Why I Put 4/5 Stars Is Becouse When You Get This Model Notice That The M4 Stock Does Not Fold Over Like The True G-36 And The New Magwell That Comes With The Gun Has The Mag Relese Right On It Makeing It Difficult To Attach A 5000rd Boxmag Like I Did... Infact I Got A Hack-Saw And Had To Cut A Portion Off. The Frount Handguard That Holds The Battery Is Extreamly Tight (Better Than Extreamly Loose I Suppose ) But Overall A Nice AEG. The Stock That Came With Mine Was Loose So I Took It Apart And Tightened The Set Screw Nothing Major Selecter Is Deffinite And When The Spec. Say 7 Pounds They Mean Seven Pounds. Ive Actualy Have Fired A Real G36c And This Reminds Me Of The Real Steel (Composite) Any Looking For A Damm Good AEG With That M-4 Feel. Go For It."

    Not a bad gun.
    17/12/11
    By: Gutas

"Very reasonable distance. Cannot do 400 though, mine chronoes at 348. Shots grouping is not that impressive, needs a tightbore. Good for CQB and field games. Do not use Golden Ball BBs in it, it cannot shoot singles with Golden Ball. Shoots doubles and triples or doesn't shoot at all. Works fine with Javelines. Be aware that M4 mags conversion kit uses G36 magazine release button. Which is a drawback if you used to M4 button. With M4 you can release the magazine with the index finger on the shooting hand. G36 style requires using the finger on the magazine changing hand. Therefore you cannot replace the magazine as fast as on M4. But it only matters if you are using the realistic load standard 30 magazines, if you use hi-caps - it is fine."

    Great Gun!

"This gun is great and comes at a fantastic price. I bought it for my son, and wouldn't mind trading him for my M4. It shoots well out of the box, is a perfect weight, and feels great in your hands. Make sure to clean out the barrel before you shoot it. It comes pretty dirty inside. Get this gun!"

"The pros also go hand in hand with the cons for the most part. the fps isnt bad, true enough at about 400. rounds per second not to be feared same as the standard 08-09 g608. its nice and light and that is due to a large lack in anything metal. to tell you the truth i think that the only part of this gun that is metal is the gear box the bottom weaver tail and the inner tube on the stock. thats not entirely bad like i said nice and light. the clips are a little wobbly in the new reciver but still feed just fine. good feel to the gun just one thing the new stock takes away some of the versitility, on the old g608 the folding stock was nice in tight spots, so the r36 isn't as versitile.as for how it shoots, like i said the fps is good, rounds per minute not slow but not really that fast either. the grouping is a little bit nicer and tighter than the older gens. you get a little better range as well. all in all a good gun. "Well this gun is pretty good. i have had it for a while it hasn't broke but the hand gaurd to get to the battery is difficult to get off. It has an amazing rate of fire but not accurate. i would buy a normal JG g36 because my friend has one it has a threaded barrel for silencers and looks cooler "
