Our take: The all-new DBoys AK-74U (FULL STEEL version) is hands down the baddest AK-74U we've laid our hands on in a while. From the outside, it looks like your standard gentile AK-74U, finished in flat black, but underneath the surface, this AEG is a COMPLETE BEAST.

DBoys has skipped the standard receiver treatment and has gone with a FULL STEEL stamped upper and lower receiver for maximum durability and realism. This is the most premium AK-74U available from DBoys, and is consequently one of the BEST. New for model year 2010, this AEG features DBoys' newly updated ultra high-torque motor for 850-950 RPM of sheer firepower (an extremely high ROF for a stock AK74U). Of course, to help it achieve this feat, it includes a 9.6v battery STANDARD in the package, a sign of the high performance capabilities of this rifle.

It is a complete VFC clone in terms of build quality, as DBoys has left no stone unturned in their quest to quickly rise the ranks of the Airsoft world to be not only considered "decent" or "good for the money", but rather churn out models that evoke both awe and desire at once. This AK-74U definitely delivers in that regard, as it is a complete VFC clone; until now, the $350+ VFC models have been the benchmark in the AK74 market, but DBoys has re-written the rules with this new AK74U, which features VFC quality and reliability, but actually OUTPOWERS and OUTPERFORMS the VFC in virtually every other category, and is STILL available at about HALF the cost of an actual VFC. - Tactical rear polymer folding stock for maximum field versatility,. Have the stock in extended position for great comfort while playing on the field, where many shots are long range shots. Once you get indoors onto a CQB field, simply fold the stock to the left side of the body, where it locks and PRESTO! You will have an AWESOME CQB AK-74S that can't be beat.

Battery Charger Recommendation: Although this fully automatic airsoft rifle comes with a standard wall charger to charge the battery, Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery (overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly). Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly, also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.

I used this gun at a air soft war with 10 people in daylight and pitch black darkness and this gun owns. It has great accuracy and power and its 9.6 vault battery will make u shot so fast on full auto.This gun is also Durable i dropped it when i slipped in some ice on concrete and it didn't even have a scratch on it. The only con about this gun is the clip is plastic and wobbly,otherwise this gun owns.
