In fact, the SRC SR5 Full Metal AEG rifle features a steel receiver SO STRONG, the folks over at SRC's R&D department even went as far as to RUN IT OVER WITH A 3,000LB COMPACT SEDAN to prove their point, a true measure of just how much SRC stands behind their product. Though we certainly do NOT recommend running your own SR5 over with a car, we ran an identical test (being the Curious Georges we are) once we got our limited supply of these SR5s, and sure enough, the receiver did not snap or crack under immense pressure from a 3,600 lb sports sedan.
The rear folding stock allows for maximum tactical versatility, and easily folds with the push of a button. With the stock fully extended in its normal resting position, you can do tactical sweeps and dominate outdoor games with ease. With the stock folded to the side, your M5 instantaneously shortens to provide you a taut, compact-sized weapon that has excellent maneuverability, even in tight spaces.
On to its performance attributes, the SRC M5 X-TAC features a newly designed high-performance full metal gearbox with an aluminum cylinder, metal adjustable hop-up, an aluminum-reinforced barrel, and a high-performance gear set. That beast of a set-up is coupled to a SRC high-torque motor so your SR5 delivers a lot of power [FPS] AND rate of fire [ROF] without sacrificing either. With 0.20g BBs, this AEG stays powerfully field-legal, shooting at about 335-385 FPS with ease with the ability to shoot 750-850 rounds per minute (that's 14 BBs per second!).

Battery Charger Recommendation: This AEG DOES NOT come with a battery or charger. Although this fully automatic airsoft rifle can use standard wall charger to charge the battery, Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery(overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly). Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly,also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.
