Our take: JG's all-new AK-47 Tactical Combat Weapon w/ built in RAS and retractable clubfoot mod stock is a marvel to behold, both visually and mechanically. When we first put our hands on this rifle, we were stunned by the top-notch fit and finish and its sturdy, full metal construction. The technological advances made on this gun do not stop at the exterior; when opened up, you will see JG's best R&D work in the form of the enhanced 2010 V3 AK mechbox paired to the newest version of their ultra high-torque motor. The rifle chronographs at 395-445 FPS using 0.20g seamless BBs, and tops out at a whopping 453 FPS!

Performance-wise, this AEG is basically untouchable, as the performance specs propel this rifle into the much-desired top echelon of AK47 AEGs currently available on the market. The gearbox works seamlessly with the motor to deliver powerful shots that maintain both high muzzle velocity AND stunning accuracy, even from far distances. A full metal barrel also compliments in the delivery of this rifle's powerful and accurate shots.

The modifications made by JG to the exterior are every bit as aesthetically pleasing as they are functional. The integrated rail system [RAS] makes tactical upgrades a cinch; in fact, a factory-supplied tactical folding forward grip that can be installed/removed at your liking is INCLUDED with the package. Out back, the menacing rear stock opens up to allow for ample storage of the FACTORY SUPPLIED 9.6V BATTERY, and is also 4-point retractable for optimum shooting position, even at a moment's notice.

The 9.6v battery, ultra high torque motor (capable of shooting up to 1000 rounds per minute!), and the enhanced full metal gearbox (w/ reinforced internals) are what ultimately make up the triple threat that is this beast of an AEG rifle. Though power and accuracy are to be expected from JG, this AK47 is also capable of delivering upwards of 1000 rounds per minute. Battery Charger Recommendation: Although this fully automatic airsoft rifle comes with a standard wall charger to charge the battery, Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery (overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly). Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly, also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.

PROS: Great gun,wouldn't use it for CQB,Really powerful,comes with amazing looking flash hider, looks great with upgrades.

CONS: flimsy but good looking stock (cheap plastic), selector switch tends to move up on its own.

Overall A++ gun

There aren't a lot of CPW-styled AK's on the market. But as far as AK's go, this one is certainly unique. They don't really mention it but this gun ships with a noveske/sound-pig replica flash-hider which doubles as a sound amplifier. To use it, however, you'll have to remove the orange tip (and good luck with that..its glued over the threads). Nice extra in the package, however. It shoots accurate and hard and has a very good ROF. The rails are plentiful and durable.

The stock is flimsy and really cheap plastic and you'll find is that you can only use this stock either fully extended or halfway extended...because once you DO figure out the secret of how to install the batteries, the position of the plug will totally restrict changing the stock position thereafter. Be sure to flip those little flimsy tabs on the stock to get the battery tubes open.

Otherwise, this is a beast of a gun, both in looks and performance.
