Our take:  The Magpul fully-licensed full metal MASADA AEG rifle, manufactured by A&K, is a high-tech, high-speed tactical carbine that is unique and unlike any other rifle on the market.  It is available in extremely limited quantities and can be considered as much a rare collector's item as a high-end Airsoft AEG that is combat ready and more significantly, combat-dominant.

The A&K Magpul MASADA features a full metal upper receiver with a high-strength polymer lower receiver.  The rear stock, much like that of a SCAR, both folds and retracts.  Most parts on the rifle itself, including the fire selector, mag release, and bolt release are ambidextrous.  The ergonomically-designed front hand guard is removable to expose the battery housing.  A great finishing touch to the exterior is the holographic Magpul logo seal, which has been affixed to the receiver of the rifle.

On the inside, the A&K Magpul MASADA features a high performance gearbox and motor for incredible shooting performance.  With 0.20g BBs, the A&K MASADA can easily top 400 FPS and fire over 800 rounds per minute with ease.

Another great characteristic of the MASADA is its modular capability.  The open-access barrel is designed to be quickly interchangeable, allowing the user to quickly detach/attach whichever barrel he or she deems is necessary for the task at hand.  It is also reverse-compatible with a ton of M4/M16 components, since it was based on the AR-carbine chassis to begin with, so it's a dream rifle for those who wish to do their own upgrades.

- Metal body (metal upper, polymer lower)
- High performance full metal gearbox and motor
- 300rd high capacity P-Mag included
- Ultra realistic
- Excellent modular AEG rifle, great alternative to SCAR/MK16
- High quality A&K product
- Extremely durable

Muzzle velocity:  395-400 FPS with 0.20g BBs
Rate of fire:  800-850 rounds per minute
Ammo type:  Seamless 0.20g or heavier (0.23g, 0.25g, 0.26g, 0.28g, etc) BBs.  For maximum performance and accuracy, Airsoft Megastore recommends GoldenBall ProSlick BBs which carry perfect spherical consistency and density, available at Airsoft Megastore for the lowest price on the market, guaranteed.

Package includes: A&K MagPul MASADA AEG rifle, 300rd P-Mag

Battery Charger Recommendation: Airsoft Megastore recommends the use of a smart charger to avoid overcharging the battery (overcharged batteries may cause decreased airsoft gun performance and may shorten battery life significantly).  Smart chargers not only shorten charge time significantly (up to 800% faster charging), but more importantly, also automatically shut off once the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharged batteries.

Good All Around Gun

"I've had this gun thru about 20 battles now with no problems. PROS: light weight, very very accurate, nice top rail and 390 FPS which is nice. CONS: battery space is very tight. I'd recommend this gun to anyone but not for $319 its worth more like $260 at most."

A great gun

"First off, i dont know if this is the one i bought, Theres like 8 different listings. I bought this EXACT gun for 280.00 on this sight. Prices are rising and dropping constantly. First off, this gun is great. Its original. I love M4s but i wanted a gun that stood out and didnt look like it was an alien toy. I have always loved ACR's and this is awesome. The polymer ( basically all of the external body) Is fantastic. It feels great. The ambidextrious stuff is nice. The hop up is precise and really cool. It also has its very own serial number. YOU NEED A SMALL TYPE NUNCHUK BATTERY that is all that will fit. Problems- the first day i fully used it i had numerous problems. I used it for like 4-5 hours. The pmag it comes with is cool, but sucks! if you wiggle it slightly it comes out. It happened in my friends m4 when he borrowed it. Use standard M4 mags, they are perfect in it. Another problem is that the stock kind of "broke" Its not like i wasnt banging it up against stuff either. I went to extend it and it came right off. I realized that on the bottom a screw was missing. The stock stays on but it is a little loose. You dont even have to hit the button for it to extend ( because the screw is gone.) its probably going to be hard to find a replacement screw too, hopefully I can get one. Its not that big of a deal but it frustrates me because i handle it like a newborn baby, and it wasnt a cheap gun. Not that bad but still uncalled for. ANother TOTALLY weird problem was that the back iron sight doesnt fit for me. I dont know if im and idiot and im doing it wrong but I SWEAR it isnt meant for this rail. Im probably just doing it wrong, it doesnt matter though because if got a Red dot scope on it. The BIGGEST problem was that the Mag release BROKE OFF at the end of the day. The left side popped out. It might be an easy fix but i cant use it for a little, The left mag release also functions as the catch. SO my reccomendation is that you ONLY USE THE MAG RELEASE ON THE RIGHT SIDE. i know its ambidextrious but only use the right if possible to avoid this problem Other than these little problems its great. I would say the fps is between 350-380. IT IS DEAD ACCURATE. It has that quick removal barrel thing but you really dont need a better barrel. Everyone says the motor sucks, well its decent. I really dont mind ROF. Its probably somewhere around 760 RPM. Its alright . If you want to get it up to 800-900 go buy a 40-50 dollar motor. I really dont mid it. I might get a better spring tohugh, THIS ONE IS FINE THOUGH. im just lookin got get it to 400-410 fps. Everyone says just save up for the pts WHICH IS 500 dollars. Honestly, buy this one. Its got the same external quality. The internals are just better in the pts. If you use that extra 200 dollars with this one (like me) get yourself a new motor, a new spring, and youve still got 100 for mags, sights, whatever you wanna buy. Its a great gun and is worth the money. I havent heard of the problems states anyewhere else. Even though ive had problems already i dont regret the purchase AT ALL! Love it"

Project Gun

"I'm going to give a long and honest review of this gun. First thing to note, this gun is great for two types of people: 1. People who are veteran airsofters and know the ins and outs of guns. 2. People who know they're interested in airsoft and are willing to spend money on it. I've broken this review up into the following parts: 1. Performance: Out of the box, mine shot ~350ft/s. It was very accurate for a stock gun, had a decent range (~200ft) effectively, and had a modest rof (~850 shots/min). 2. Internals: I've never had any problems with much of the stock internals. You can't really go wrong with steel gears, solid metal bushings, stock polycarb piston, as you'd expect, and a non-ported steel cylinder. The only problem I had was that one of the gearbox screw holes, where the motor goes, stripped on me. It wasn't a huge deal since the motor is and grip are connected to the gun by the body, and not those screws. However since this was my first real gun, it may have been my fault. The barrel is steel (6.04mm) and mine didn't rattle around at all, especially, after a bit of Teflon tape between joints. I, personally believe, the barrel is pretty much perfect. The reason is because extremely tight-bore barrels actually decrease the accuracy of your gun. In fact, the most accurate airsoft barrels are the 6.03mm steel or brass ones, not the custom made 5.98mm. When a barrel is too tight, the space between the barrel wall and the bb is reduced. Normally, that space is where the air would seep around the bb. Granted that too much space is bad, 6.04mm and 6.03mm barrels are perfect because that pressure actually centers the bb in the barrel, so it doesn't bounce around inside the tube nearly as much as if there was no air leak. If you want a 6.03mm, you're essentially paying $30 for an inch tighter group at 100ft. not worth it. Which brings us to the compression features. The air seal is mediocre, the spring is probably around M110, and the spring guide is all metal, but no bearings. If you plan on never disassembling your gun AT ALL until it breaks, then the hopup will do just fine. However, If you plan on teching your gun, a new hopup chamber and loading nozzle is THE FIRST THING you should buy. They suck, and you should avoid messing with them if AT ALL POSSIBLE, because the c-clip is brittle and the only ones available are the stock ones. Also another thing to note is that the ambi-selector switch is a pain to work around, and even more of a pain to install another one. Even worse, its actually pretty fragile, so be careful. It's another of those things you should try not to mess with. 3. Externals: I can't say enough good things here. TRULY high quality externals. if they get shot point blank with ANY airsoft gun, they'll be fine. Seriously, go run and tell Nokia that its got a match in external durability. Battery space is alright, actually, if you're crafty, you can make most fit quite snugly too. 4. Accessories: one thing I love about the Masada is that it's soo easily customizable. That's the way it's designed, to take a new barrel or stock, any time, quickly. EVERYTHING is ambidextrous which is great. The only things I have to complain are that the mag that comes with it is absolute garbage, and many parts are proprietary. The mag will feed reliably for the first two or three fills, then it becomes really sketchy. 5. Overview: the masada is a unique project gun for the experienced, and an awesome beginner gun for the dedicated noob. Personally, I'd take the A&K masada over the PTS any day, because it's cheaper and will serve you almost as well stock as the $100-more-expensive-competitor will. The PTS just may last longer. When this masada does break, it's a sign that you are dedicated enough to airsoft that it's worth learning the insides of your gun. The A&K masada is also easier to upgrade than the PTS, and if you know or are willing to learn how to upgrade it, then it can be much better than ANY stock gun on the market. It's perfect for a DMR, perfect for a High-speed AEG. CQB or Feild, you name it! The world's possibilities are open to you if you want them. You just have to want them, and understand that the "perfect gun" is a labor-filled process. 6. So should you buy this gun?: Long answer short, depends. Long answer long, you have to ask yourself more questions. Are you new to airsoft? Are you sure you'll like it? Do you like teching guns (and can you)? Do you want a unique gun with familiar internals or will a G&G M4 do fine? Are you really willing to spend this much? These questions should help you decide. I feel that if you are paying just for the machine, then the gun is $50-70 overpriced, but if you know how to work with your gun, and are paying for it's potential, it's upgradeablility, it's awesome looks, and you're willing to make this beauty perform even better than it's looks, then PLEASE DO BUY THIS GUN. I guarantee you that the airsoft community is excited to see what destiny you've planned for it."

"Incredible gun in the field. A little hard to set up at first. Really accurate with .28g bbs. Some reason the back sight on mine won't stay down though. But you could simply buy a different sight for it if you wanted. Looks great and shoots great so I think it's a really nice gun and recommend it completely."

Decent at best

"If you're looking to buy this gun be prepared to spend money on replacement parts and aftermarket parts. The gearbox is a V2 that is in almost any other M4. Internals are basically the same with the exception of a set of gear/shaft for the ambidextrous function, and the nozzle. The gears are by A&K and are decent. They held up to a 7.4 Lipo and 9.6v NiMH after many games. Hop-up system is completely different than any M4. It has a proprietary hop up and is costly to replace. I had to take apart my gearbox and was able to use a standard M4 V2 gear box. It took tiny bit of modification (had to cut a corner off of the selector plate) to make it fit into the lower receiver. This also prevented me from using the ambidextrous selector switch however, being right handed, it didn't matter to me. Removing and replacing the gearbox into the lower nylon receiver is common sense but tedious due to the ambidextrous feature of the selector switch. The quick change barrel system is a cool idea however parts for it are scarce and expensive. Out of the box, the barrel seemed very loose. I searched around and realized that the locking collar was not tightened all the way. The stock latch to prevent it from extending all the way is not strong enough so do not hold it by the stock end and have it hang down. It WILL fully extend. The P-mag that comes with it failed immediately out of the box. I contacted the reseller and they replaced it with a standard mag, which is still better. To me, this gun is worth about $230."

"I like this weapon I own 3 of them and one PTS. cons: 1. barrel is loose 2. hop up is proprietary 3. butt-stock retention is just doesn't work 4. stock motor sucks (change) 5. gearbox needs upgrading the the gears suck the shell is re-enforced needs the hybrid bushings. 6. needs a better inner barrel pros: 1. 400fps+ out of box 2. durability 3. cost *****But these weapons do not come in full metal they are still metal upper and polymer lower*****"

"this airsoft gun performed good for an out of the box weapon. it consistently shot around 385 fps with .2 . bad rate of fire though, witch was a downside to me. i may have just gotten a lemon but after 7000 to 8000 shots mine starting making a horrible screeching noise. i tried adjusting the motor hieght but had no luck. overall this is a gun with good potential and performs good out of the box. mine broke before i could even put in any upgrades so idk. id give it two stars but its a acr so come on."

The store is amazing. I have found there items that I could not find in other stores which makes it the best. I have made questions and inquires about products and the customer service has responded super fast with accurate answers. All my products have arrived in excellent conditions in spite of other stores. My last product came late because it was rescheduled but that was UPS fault I think. I would like to thank Matthew for his exceptional customer service. Whenever you need help, please try to contact him. My advice, buy in Airsoft Megastore, they have coupons and the widest variety of airsoft products. RandyLoy, USA
I ordered a gun sling a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, one of the clips broke. After a few email correspondings with a customer service representative named Jun (my emails did not show a last name), AMS sent me a replacement sling for free. I did not even have to send my clip back. AMS is a terrific store and I plan on doing more business with them. They were polite, efficient, and just a pleasure to work with. I would recommend Airsoft Megastore to anyone. mskanwischer, USA
Airsoft Megastore is The Best Airsoft Website Out There (I Think) and i Will Always Be Loyal to AMS and Order Almost All of my Gear From Them. The Customer Service is Also Amazing, Jun my Customer Service Representative Has Helped Me With Anything i Needed Help With, Especially My Order Problem (Had 2 Magazines Missing from Order) and Jun Helped Me With The Problem, and Now The Mags Have Been Shipped To Me. Thank You So Much AMS and Jun. Ethan1214, Saskatchewan, Canada
I love that Airsoft Megastore has videos of most any information you will need to learn and care for your products. I purchased an AEG for my son and in short order, unfortunately, it began grinding after brief use. I emailed for warranty repair with symptoms and with 24 hours (22 to be exact) I received an email explaining possible causes with a video like for tuning the gun. I had the gun working again within 15 minutes, avoiding returning the gun and the mess associated with returns\repairs. Excellence on Sean's part to help out a first time customer of theirs. Highly recommend. bucfanjeff, USA
Everything worked great, shipping was super fast. I am very pleased and won't hesitate to order through airsoft megastore again. rob_riley, USA
