"Overall great gun, it is multipurposed for field use and cqb even thought the FPS might be a little bit too high for cqb but still. Id suggest upgrading this gun because it is already a great middle of the road gun for intermediate and also more experienced players. "I got my S-system in the mail about 3 weeks ago. I have not got to use it in a skirmish yet, but I've blown through at least 1000 goldenball .2's ripping apart assorted fruits. the gun is mostly metal besides the stock and bottom handguard. I haven't got it chrono tested yet but i was knocking down soda cans accuratly at close to 100 feet. The rate of fire is good on the gun, sights are cool, hop-up works. The only bad thing is when i took it out of the box the flash hider was really chewed up real bad. not really a huge problem. the huge problem is the mag and how it feeds. when it fires, it shoots a few then stops. After that, i have to put alot of pressure on the mag and hold it tightly in with my hand. If your thinking about getting this gun, dont worry, this feeding probrably happend when i tried prone crawling with the gun. anyways, this is an amazing gun for its price. dont let me scare you out of buying it. jump on the oppurtunity while you can. "This gun is very nice. A little difficult to set the hop up but when properly set it shoots long and str8. Mine came with the orange flash hider shattered in box but changing to black anyway. Heavy gun, great looks, nice price. Shot through plastic milk bottle from about 25ft. I had the shipping box, behind it was the gun box with the foam bottom and placed them against the wall and fired 300 rounds and it crushed it along with damage to the wall. Get this gun! "

"This gun is fantastic. The BB's shoot very well, after adjusting hop up it's nearly perfect (hop up is revealed by pulling back charging handle). My only complaint is after using it there are wires in the handle and hand guard that come unplugged easily, but just put some electrical tape on them and they won't give you any trouble!"

"M4s are great airsoft guns. dont listen to most of the critics, yes they can get expensive, but you cant expect to get every little attachment at the same time. theyre always upgrading and renweing the models. i got mine about 5 years ago and it still works like its on its very first charge. it dosent need any form of attachments but when/if you do get them, red dot sights shoud be the first thing. these are great for EVERYONE, including noobs, professionals, kids, adults and everyone in between. its a great buy and if its your first it WILL get you addicted to airsoft. Dboy has made leaps and bounds in the last couple of years to greatly improve their internals and this is the grand exeption. I have the 2009 JG M4 S-System with Mosfet and my brother just picked up this badboy. Im kinda jelious. Mine was $220 in sale and this one is over $70 cheaper with very equal performance. His shoots just as hard, accurate & consistent. If this lasted as long as my Dboys PDW im official impressed."

"I ordered this last Saturday. It shipped on Monday and arrived Friday. I opened the box only to find that sweet bodied gun. It came with everything extra in the box. I was eager to test fire it so I hooked the battery up to my smart charger and was on my way. I have to say this thing shoots wonderfully. It has a full metal hop-up and gearbox and both work flawlessly. it seems to shoot at a steady 380 FPS with my .23g's and I really like that. I would definitely recommend this gun. The box I recieved was NOT the same as the one picture and the hop-up isn't totally metal. The box it came in was cardboard with stickers on it. "Ive had this gun for about 2 months, used in about 3 wars, shot numerous times, the metal is good and durable get dirty, may get scratched, nuthin to worry about though, the sling is great cuz of the metal sling mounts, gun chronos about 420 shoots hard internals r very durable also, may want to upgrade to 9.6 volt battery for faster rpm, i thought it broke about 2 weeks ago because it wouldnt shoot turned, out i dropped it in the back of my moms car and a cord in the pistol grip came loose, snapped back into place and hasnt pained me since, shoots as far and almost as accurate as my friends l96a1 sniper shoots 90 ft on target if its a person, you know when the gun dry fires, it makes the scariest hollowest noise lol, flip up sights r great, way better than m16, my friends r scared of it, battery charging times are about 2 hours 45 minutes, lost my smart charger, take it off when warm, and it hasnt failed me once, no jams, magazines great shoots well, best gun for the price!"

Shipped the following day I also commend Airsoft Megastore's customer service. They have been extremely professional and helpful on the few occasions that I have spoken with them. I will definitely be returning here first for any more purchases. Minor things - Suppressor was broken when received. Pretty much expecting it based on what I've read and getting replaced anyhow with a mock silencer. - Several screws were loose so need to check it over good when you get it. - Connections leading to the battery connector have a small area of exposed metal so these need to be taped up. "Straight out of the box, the Dboys M4s is built to impress! The ENTIRE exterior is made entirely out of metal! (Minus the stock and pistol grip.) the entire rail system is metal along with the sights. The S system utilizes a flip up battle sight system that alone is sufficient to hit a man sized target. Both the upper and lower receivers are metal, along with the forward hand-guard. The gun weighs around ten pounds (not measured accurately, just and estimation!) and is nicely balanced. FIELD TEST: Using .20 gram BB's, the gun was easily hitting man sized targets at 125 feet (I am a bit of a crack-shot though...) At 175 feet the accuracy started to drop off a bit. The FPS clocked in on the chronograph hovering around 375 fps, I never saw it get near 400 fps at any time during the trial, but I was using the stock battery. SUMMARY: The Dboys M4s System is one of the best guns I have used in a while, and holds it's own among the competitors."

"I have had this gun for a little over 2 and a half months now. Out of the box it shoots great I was hitting Fps around 370ish, 387 at its highest point, and bps was around 14 and a high of 18, this gun does great right outta the box. However, there are a few small mods you MUST do to increase the longevity of this, first being the hop up chamber, which is made of a flimsy clear plastic that is brittle. I replaced mine with a metal hop up unit. Now secondly, my big problem which I've learned to get over is the lower piece of the foregrip which houses the battery (which by the way the battery compartment is massive and could almost houses any battery you would wanna run) is made of a Nylon polymer, which is just a fancier word for a reinforced plastic. Other than those two small problems its a awesome gun."

"Im very pleased, real weight and look.Shoots strong even but ive only pushed 100 rounds through.Zero your sights and hopup and its pretty accurate(.25bbs, about 75ft with wind).This price Dboys did a good job for a quality gun and overall shooting experience.There are little problems like mag and stock wobble(which i fixed with black ducttape, now its solid). Mine came with a broken orange tip(no biggy cheap plastic anyways, sort of sad actually) and no front sight adjust tool for elevation. Also front sight was off centered but with an allen wrench that was an easy fix. Pros: look weight feel, quality shoots strong even with the 8.4v battery hicap mag tac sling Cons: cheap orange tip mag and slight stock wobble when extended more than half way (easily fixable though) In the end im pleased, good platform to customize off of and if i had to buy again i think id make the same choice "

"Pretty good Gun shoots surprisingly accurate. the only thing that ticked me off a little bit was false advertising this is not the Newest model the one I got is a model 2006 and the the lower handgaurd is cracked and it was definitely not because of shipping. other than that the gun works great low capacity battery though. I was really amazed at the the rate of fire and the accuracy good groupings at 100ft or so. have not checked fps yet but it seems to be about 350 ish. "Just got the rifle today. The rifle fires just fine out of the box. Had to move the hop up one click and was shooting a 1.5 inch group at ~ 100 ft with the sights (once sighted in with a bore sight). I don't know why so many complain about the battery being hard to put in. If you just look at it, the battery fits just fine and the rail will close with no problems. The gun shoots hard. I was shooting at a 1 inch thick blueboard foam and the BBs were penetrating a good 1/2 inch at 100 feet and that was with me discharging the battery straight from the box (per manual). The manual is better than most. The description doesn't say it, but the rifle also comes with a 3 point sling and a vertical, tactical grip. All in all, I'm pleased and am looking forward to getting the battery up to charge and firing some more rounds."

"Well I have now put a good thousand or so rounds through my s-system and after fiddling with the iron sights, hop up etc, I have found my gun to shoot half an inch to the left (the common deviance among aegs is 1 inch). Pretty darn good! Slap on a red dot or scope to the rail and you have an accurate primary on your hands. Now as far as the s-system as a whole, I am overall pleased. The only issues I have with it have been minor. For example, no adjustment tool for the front iron sight which I resolved by using an allen wrench to turn the dial. Secondly, the pins on the hand rail which lock in the battery have to be tightened with a flat head screw driver rather than by hand. Other than that, it seems to be a solid gun overall. In addition, the reinforced gearbox makes for a very sturdy rifle. Note: (The rifle was bench rested and fired at a range of 20 yards using a Nimh 9.6 volt 1600 mah battery and .23 gram golden ball proslick bbs) "

"So i ordered this gun on saturday, got it on friday. The first bad thing about it that i noticed was that the instruction manual didn't see like anything, so i just left it alone until i went to my friends house. The second bad thing about this gun is that the mag would not lock into place, i don't know all the details but the little hole on the mag wouldn't go into something into the gun because it was bent, but my friend bent it back and now i just have to put it in, then shove forward. Also its 8 pounds and without the strap its hard to run with it. Now onto the pros. It looks great! I am now in the top 3 of my group that have the best airsoft guns in our group. The power is awesome, accuracy is definitely up there, range is really good, the box that it came in looked much better then some echo 1 boxes I've seen."

"I've had this gun for about a year now. This gun performs very well on the field. Now for the problems,For starters, the end of my muzzle was cracked in the box when it was shipped to me. Another problem that happened was when i went on a rainy to our field and the internals got wet from the rain and it would stop firing on semi-auto after about 5-10 shots. I'd have to switch to full auto fire a quick burst then switch back to semi. The mag that comes with the gun wont fit for s***. The sling mounts are pretty bad i'd say. the one on the vertical rail unscrews after awhile and i didn't notice it till after it fell off. And the rear one did too after awhile. And last but not least,i'd say the screws you unscrew and screw back on to get to the battery compartment arent very good. One of mine unscrewed and fell out because the pins that keep them from falling out from the inside are garbage.But besides from those minor problems this is worth the buy!! "

I was able to easily fit the Intellect Premium 9.6V Ni-MH Nunchuck Battery For Electric AEG - 2000 MAH into the foregrip area, along with a mosfet and upgraded fuse holder without any binding or pinching. The gearbox is loud and whiny though, will need some shimming to shut her up a bit, but she hits hard, fast and accurate. The mag unwinds when inserted into the magwell and the mag catch doesn't do the best job. The price tag on this gun is too good to pass up, the $$ you save can be used to personalize it for many applications, upgrade it's minor shortcomings, or just plain pimp it out!"

"Just got this gun. I haven't fired it yet, but it seems like a great gun. It is sturdy and has a realistic weight. the only parts of the gun that i found were plastic was the stock and the for grip. It came with everything that was advertised plus a 3-point sling. "The gun is great, but the gun is heavy. They said it would be and its not really a con, but I have had some trouble with the sling mount. The sling mount screws into one of the rails on either side, I didn't like this because it made you lose a rail for the sling. After messing with the sling mount i went to screw it in a second time and set it down. When i picked it up I realized it was loose so I tried to gently tighten it because I was afraid i would strip it, and it just twisted and ripped the loop off. I contacted AsMs and they sent me a new one for free. They also sent a new rail with it. The new rail also made me notice that the old rail could only had one screw hole in it that would cause more weight to be on one screw. Anyway. Pros FPS RoF Looks Cons The gun is heavy and I'm not sure the sling mount is cut out for it."

"Pros: Powerful Metal body Feels very solid Cons: BROKEN flash hider. All of them have this. ALL. Made out of cheap awful thin plastic. NOT full metal. Lower hand guard is PLASTIC. Because lower hand guard is plastic, items attached to side weaver mounts wobble and may BREAK the wobbly lower hand guard if hit with enough force. Hand guard is OPEN at the front instead of being tapered off to the barrel. This means that when you look at it from the front there is a big hole in the hand guard and you can see the battery/wiring exposed. Almost all other M4 RIS models have this tapered to the barrel. Poor QUALITY control. My first gun I received was a LEMON. Shot 150 fps out of the box and even after 900+ rounds. Gearbox locked up and then completely jammed. Pending return. Notes: Not a bad starter but, but as many have stated it is not the best gun. Good for starters but not great in the long run. "

"This AEG is awesome for the price. Full metal everything (besides pistol grip, lower half of battery cage, part of stock). Shoots awesome with .20s (use quality BBs though. I haven't had a jam yet with quality BBs). It also comes with a 3-point tactical sling, which doesn't seem to be stated in the description. Everything else is there. The only issue I have is that the wires in battery cage are thin and unnecessarily long, which might lead to shorts in wire, and get in the way when it comes to installing the battery. You also might need to take apart the stock, as mine came off, but we took care of it and it works awesome! TL,DR version: Awesome! EDIT: You might want to consider purchasing either a quality tappet plate or just a whole new tune-up kit. FYI."

"Gun is sturdy and mostly metal. Who wrote the advertisement above? 3 point sling is cheap but better than nothing. Battery compartment is the worst part of the gun. It was tricky to open the compartment and put the battery in, but with a little practice it all worked out. Gun shoots hard and pretty accurate out of the box. Magazine feeding was ok, but i had to wind up the magazine often to get a steady stream of bb's. Now that the price dropped another $50 since I purchased it, I would recommend this. Otherwise, I would get the JG that shoots harder and faster."

"the first thing you'll notice is the weight. it is front heavy. the majority of the rifle is metal however, the upper receiver is abs plastic. The description on this site says "full Metal receiver ... pistol grip", the upper receiver (where the hopup is located) is ABS plastic and the pistol grip is also Hard Plastic. I hate the bottom part of the S-System because it is plastic and only held by 2 push-down screws for inserting the battery. This bottom part is not sturdy enough, especially when you attach a Fore grip because it wobbles. the bottom RIS RAIL is only attached to the bottom S-System cover by only one flat-head screw on the front. the foregrip bends the rail which loosens the 2 push-down screws of the bottom S-System cover. you really do get what you paid for. this was my first purchase from this site, although there are major flaws, I can deal with the trade-offs of having such a low price. I you want High quality, save some cash and purchase the higher end brands."

"Right out of the box the for grip was broken then shot 10 bbs and broke and had to send it in then a week later got it back. Then started to make a low pitched popping noise and doesn't shot and going have to send back in....."
