Our take: The NEW Echo1 electric auto-winding 2500rd C-Mag drum magazine for SG Series (M5 style) metal gearbox AEG rifles instantly turns your M5 style AEG into a lightweight support weapon, capable of sending a massive volume of BBs down range.

This high quality automatic-winding drum magazine is designed to maximize your AEGs ammunition capacity, eliminating the need for incessant reloads, and allowing you to easily suppress the opposition.  While mid-cap mags hold about 90-110 rounds and hi-cap mags hold about 200-300 rounds for the M5 rifle variant, this motorized drum mag holds 2500 rounds of BBs for a virtually endless supply of BBs.

Unlike other C-Mags on the market, this magazine can switch between "Sound Activated" (only running the winding motor while your AEG is firing) and "Auto" (using the included pressure switch to activate the winding motor).  These features make it easier than ever to keep your AEG fully loaded at all times.

Also included with this magazine is an internal rechargeable battery and a standard wall charger.  This allows you to use the magazine longer than a typical C-Mag running off of AAA batteries.

If you want to increase your ammo capacity and use your lightweight M5 style AEG as a support weapon, this NEW Echo1 C-Mag is a must have!  These magazines are sure to sell out quickly, so get yours before they're gone!

"As Iexcited as I am about this, I literally just pulled it out of the box and hit it up with some flat earth toned paints and have to say, so far it's pretty sturdy. I have an Echo 1 MP5 special black edition ( also painted multicam) , I did have a bit of trouble with the mag release just forward the trigger guard but the mag release button on what would be the ejection port did work to release the Drum. As I can tell with my short time firing it in the yard, I can honestly say there is going to be some shattered egos when a CQB pellet slinger wipes out a squad. I'd say get one or two, and you'll never run out in a skirmish. I gave it four stars because though it is great, It is hard to detach from the gun, unless you have tiny hands."

    Not good

"There are a few things I dislike about this product. First my son who is 11 spent his own money for this and it broke after about 30-40 min. of light use with no rough handling what so ever. Unfortunately he had it for about 2 months before taking it out to use. I purchased an SRC model for my M4 and the quality of mine is much better. This one is difficult to load as you cant load directly into the drum as I can with the SRC model. It has an indent in the drum where the loading port should be, but isn't. The SRC model has a spring that locks for easy loading, this doesn't which makes loading even harder. Because it is missing both of those things, loading is very time consuming and frustrating. It is difficult to reach the unlocking mechanism to release it from the gun and the drum gets in the way and makes holding the m5 awkward. Now will need to purchase another magazine that works. Expected better for the money."
