I have this gun, I have had it for...about a year and a half now. Its a great gun...accurate, solid, and powerful. But to everyone asking about the metal parts....Externally everything is metal exept the stock, handle, and foregrip, which are ABS plastic, and are very sturdy. It is not the best plastic out there, i rate the plastic 8 out of 10. so its still great, its survived many drops, grace, concrete, ect. The only bad thing is the sling that comes with is a Peice of s***. Get a better one

Either battery will work for the gun. NiMh is nickel metal-hydride, and NiCd is nickel cadmium. Both have advantages, and disadvantages. Airsplat.com has a great page all about batteries. Read it. It will help. However, I think NiMh batteries are better, because they don't have a "battery memory effect" (Sometimes, if the battery is not fully dead, then it can inhibit the amount of charge it can hold later) , like NiCd do. But NiCd tend to hold their charge longer than NiMh. Like I said, either will work.
