Blowback and Non-Blowback CO2 Pistols
Airsoft CO2 pistols, not to be confused with gas pistols, use 12g CO2 cartridges rather than green gas or propane. CO2 Airsoft guns typically shoot at a slightly higher velocity (FPS) than gas pistols, and run on small, easy to store CO2 cartridges. There are two main options when shopping for an airsoft CO2 pistol: blowback or non-blowback. Airsoft blowback pistols have slides that kick back after each shot, delivering a recoil similar to that of when firing a real pistol. Non-blowback pistols still utilize CO2 to propel the BB but do not feature any recoil.
