Description   Our take:  Heckler & Koch, most famously known for their "No Compromise" approach to firearms design and manufacturing, has released a fully licensed ELITE Airsoft version of their very own tactical carbine, the renowned G36C.  Likewise, ARES, a Hong Kong-based cutting edge manufacturer of Airsoft guns, is at the forefront of the Airsoft industry, with a wide line of high quality, high performance Airsoft AEGs.  When two industry leaders converge to create a single product, results are typically excellent, to say the very least.  And this fully licensed and trademarked H&K / ARES G36C ELECTRIC BLOWBACK tactical assault carbine, with a rugged fiber polymer body and an ultra high-performance full metal gearbox, is no exception.  This ELITE model of the H&K G36C also features a full length sight rail (for easy scope mounting), along with THREE (x3) rails pre-installed onto the forward hand guard (two on the side, one underneath).  Hence, ARES and H&K have successfully collaborated to manufacture quite possibly one of the BEST G36C AEGs currently on the market, which certainly justifies their asking price, which is just north of the $300 mark.  Simply put, this AEG was designed to be a segment leader, allowing its operator to dominate and decimate the competition, bar none; with that hefty task, ARES and H&K have gloriously succeeded in producing this world-class AEG.  The H&K G36C Elite's gearbox is equipped with high-performance 8mm steel ball bearings and reinforced high-speed gears.  Coupled to the high-torque motor installed from the factory, this AEG shoots about 900 rounds per minute with an 8.4v mini battery, and OVER 1,000 ROUNDS PER MINUTE with a 9.6v mini.  Power peaks at about 390 FPS with 0.20g BBs, though we averaged about 386 FPS while test firing with GoldenBall 0.20g BBs. The rear stock, in classic G36C fashion, is extremely sturdy and can be folded to produce an even more compact G36C sans stock, ready to dominate ANY CQB battle it's thrown into.  Even though the G36C is more of a CQB weapon than anything else, H&K and ARES has made sure that this Airsoft "ELITE" model has more than enough firepower to be used indoors or out, your choice.  An adjustable rear sight guarantees shot accuracy; during our own testing, we found this G36C to be exceptionally accurate despite its compact size.  A 430rd high capacity magazine is included to maximize time between reloads. The realistic blowback function seems to really be the finishing touch to this amazing AEG.  Not only is it efficient in nature, it also adds dramatic realism to the rifle itself, as the bolt kicks back after each shot, much like the open & close action of the ejection port on a real G36C. * Note:  Contrary to the misinformation provided on numerous other retail websites, THIS MODEL IS MANUFACTURED BY ARES, NOT KWA.  This product is manufactured in Hong Kong, NOT Taiwan. Ok I'm going to put this to rest. March 3, 2012 Reviewer: Matt Schistle from DeLand, FL United States   I bought this AEG about 4~5 months ago and I can say for a fact that this G36 compact in comparison  far exceeds what a JG model is. Every inch is solid and it is not cheap plastic it is a form of Nylon very strong ,.It will fit a 9.6v num~chuck type battery,. strong blow back , Awesome rate of fire, and more than enough punch for CQB/Field play. Ohhh yea and the 6.5lb weight feels awesome my view on this H&K is if you want a cheap G36 as said below you can buy a JG,DD or something like that but don't expect it to be the same as a Ares product...
