this is my first full metal rifle to own. after using so many good plastic rifles i needed a metal one. this one is perfect if you hope to upgrade or just keep it an M16. 420 fps out of the box. i put a light on it. red dot scope works just fin with it. hop up is touchy. but once you fool with it you'll find the sweet spot for a good straight shot. 5 out of 5 from me

AEG feedback
November 12, 2009

My first AEG. Satisfied with RPS and FPS but accuracy at longer ranges is poor. Seems hop up does not help with horizontal spin that causes BB's to stray off target. Would like some feedback on a good scope for this AEG.

Choosing between this gun and the L96?
I got both so I can help ye out a bit.
1st off being a sniper involves alot of patience.
But this gun doesnt.
With a sniper you gotta remember u have 1 shot. With this gun you got about 25 per second to throw at the enemy when ever you want.
The sniper would also be alot better for sneaking with because it doesnt make any loud sounds to give you away.
you shoot with the m16 every 1 within a 5 mile radius will know.
In the end, its your choice ( I chose both) but i'd recommend this gun to start off with and buy the L96 later when you find out what you like to do.
Specs of the M16:
Fast shooting
medium weight
average fps is 420, 425fps
the gun is sturdy
its internals are well put together
Hopes this helped you bob as well as others.

You should probably get this, as idk about you, but I find myself using my AR much more often than my sniper.

Not so great

I purchased this gun for my son. After less than 3 weeks the piston wore out. Airsoft Megastore did provide some technical support but I was told the gun was out of warranty. I thought this was a little disappointing. I expected to be able to exchange the gun. I ended up doing a little research and buying a new piston online. I replaced it which took a little time but was doable for someone who has never done this before. It shoots good again with good power and decent accuracy.

First of all you dont use .12g bbs in a high powered aeg, only in low powered guns. Second, the battery does not determine the fps of a gun, only the rate of fire.

question

if someone could answer this, that would be awsome. I know it says 400-450, but is this with the battery it comes with? and also can it shoot .12 bbs?

JG M16 DMR

Reviewer: Jules Carrier from chelsea, ME United States
This gun is a decent gun. I've had this for 3 years and it has MAJOR RIS wobble. I had an airsmith work on it so now it's fine. It fires good with a 9.6. It doesn't fit a 9.6 LARGE. It has an amazing ROF and shoots about 380-395 FPS. I don't think there's a tightbore barrel though.
Pros:
Full Metal RIS
Full Stock
Cons:
RIS wobble
can't fit a 9.6 LARGE
