Gas System
The G&G G96 Gas Sniper Rifle is a gas-powered bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle modeled after the popular L96 Sniper Rifle. One of the benefits to a gas-powered bolt-action is that it's easier to pull back the bolt to open the breech than a spring powered bolt-action. Spring powered bolt-action sniper rifles require more force to operate due to the spring tension within the sniper rifle's chamber. Gas-powered bolts are smoother to use, making them ideal for all airsoft players especially for younger shooters who are not used to using a spring-power bolt action airsoft rifle.
Compatible Scopes and Bipods
The G96 comes equipped with a Picatinny two attachment point optics mount. A sniper rifle is only as good as your scope and this mount setup is idea for rifle scopes with 3-9x40 lenses but can fit larger or smaller ones with two attachment points. The rifle also comes with two separate tripod/bipod attachment points. Once a tripod/bipod is attached to this rifle, it opens you up a variety of shooting positions to be used for target practice or for game play.
External Build
The G96's receiver is constructed with high quality polymer. The barrel, on the other hand, is high-grade metal. This combination of high quality polymer and metal means the rifle is built to withstand regular use without degradation but is not heavy enough to be unwieldy. In addition to its lightweight build, the rifle also comes with an extended, rubber butt plate. This kind of plate is ideal for shooters who will be spending extended time firing as it will help decrease shock and arm fatigue. The front and rear sling mounts will come in handy when it's time to change position and get on the move again.
