"Used this gun several times now in my local indoor CQB fields and have had a lot of fun with it so far. With .25 bbs, chronos in the 290s. I was hoping for a lot more (330-340) so I ordered a M120 and m125 springs to can get closer to field max 350. This uncertainty in what airsoft guns will shoot at different fields is the main reason I went with this gun. The quick change spring system really makes this a very versatile gun.
The nylon fiber reinforced polymer is much heavier duty than I expected and feels really solid in my hands. Because I bought this gun for fast indoor action, I have not been disappointed by the single fire rate and love the trigger response! One of my local fields had the optional fire control unit so was able to program it for single fire and 3-round burst. This was so fun and in burst, can put all 3 bbs on top of each other from 40 yards!
Here are some of the problems that I had with the gun: the worst thing right out of the box was the fact that going from safe to single fire shoots full automatic. Very annoying and almost sent it back, but thought if I could get the electronic programmer then it could get working right. NOPE! After playing around with it, I must switch to single fire then to rapid, then back to single get it to fire the way it is supposed to. Watching some videos, found one that shows a blue strip that is visible when the magazine is out to identify it as the newest version, but mine does not have that blue strip.
Next annoying thing is the Hi-Cap magazine that came with it broke after 1 game. There is a small tab at the bottom that popped out and won't go back in making the magazine worthless. Bought a few Mid-Cap mags and I like them way better anyway, but still not happy with getting burned with a crappy hi-cap design.
Finally, the stock became very loose after my third game so needed to spend time with some tools to tighten up all of the screws, bolts, and connecters. Annoying, but I learned what keeps the gun from falling apart.
Overall, I love the gun and would buy the AM-013 right this second, but I need a bit more confidence in the ARES Amoeba line up before I spend over $300 for their gun."
