"I opened my Umarex sticky-Z about two days ago, and I was reasonably impressed by the product. It weighs in at just under a half a pound, and sits on a table or the ground, as well as having a wall mount on the back. The gel is not sticky to the touch, and is quite supple. The graphic on the target is nice, though I am a little disappointed that it is not actually colored gel that creates it. It is a paper target behind a gel screen. After shooting at it several times, there are a few spots where BB's may have come out a bit hotter, creating slight tears in the target. However, this is only a small problem, and the gel has thus far held the tears in place, so the target should be able to withstand a lot of torture.
That said, I will describe what I have hit it with. The product recommends .12 BB's at a distance of 15 feet. I have been shooting it with .20's at about 25 feet the last two days. It also recommends a gun with a muzzle velocity no greater than 300 fps. I have been using my Sig-Sauer SP 2022 that I also recently received. With .20's it probably shoots somewhere around 330-350 fps, but the target absorbs shots from this gun nicely. There are very few BB's that don't get stuck to the gel, allowing me to rapidly squeeze out a clip without worrying about a ping-ponging haze of BB's ricocheting around my garage.
All in all, I am satisfied with this target, and hope it continues to be quite a useful little target."
